The AMD Rade on HD 7970M is a 28nm DirectX 11 graphics card based on the GCN (Graphics Core Next) architecture. Built primarily for large laptops, the advanced card is positioned near the top of the high-end category as of 2012. The design of the Radeon 7900M series has its roots to the Pitcairn chip as found, for example, on the desktop Radeon HD 7870. The 7970M in particular is similar to its desktop 7870 counterpart with 1280 1D shader cores and 80 texture units, but has a core clock of only 850 MHz versus the 1000 MHz of the HD 7870. As a result, general performance of the HD 7970M is expected to lie somewhere between the 7850 and 7870 desktop Radeon cards.

TPM (Trusted Platform Module)
 A TPM is a microchip designed to provide basic security-related functions, primarily involving encryption keys. The TPM is usually installed on the motherboard of a computer or laptop, and communicates with the rest of the system using a hardware bus. Computers that incorporate a TPM can also create a key that has not only been wrapped, but also tied to certain platform measurements. This type of key can only be unwrapped when those platform measurements have the same values that they had when the key was created. This process is called "sealing" the key to the TPM. Decrypting it is called "unsealing.
With a TPM, private portions of key pairs are kept separated from the memory controlled by the operating system. Keys can be sealed to the TPM, and certain assurances about the state of a system—that define its "trustworthiness"—can be made before the keys are unsealed and released for use. Because the TPM uses its own internal firmware and logic circuits for processing instructions, it does not rely upon the operating system and is not exposed to external software vulnerabilities.

While most gaming notebooks supply four USB ports at most, the P570WM barebone sports five USB ports (3x 3.0 & 2x 2.0). Four audio jacks (microphone, headphone, line-in, S/PDIF) and three digital video outputs (DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI) must also be praised. eSATA and FireWire are also installed. In addition to that, there is a Kensington lock, RJ45 Gigabit LAN port, a 9in1 card reader and an ExpressCard slot. The antenna input of the old model has fallen victim to cutbacks.

P570WM is sold complete with 8-cell battery with a capacity of 78 Wh, which is sufficient for almost 2 hours (not too hard) work. The computer weighs about 6 pounds and has dimensions of 419 x 286 x 73 mm, so it's definitely not ultra-mobile design.
Speaking about justice, two gigantic 300 watt PSUs are included for the P570WM in order to provide the desktop CPU and both GeForce graphics cards with power. Both weigh 1.6 kilograms and have a size of roughly 21 x 11 x 5 centimeters.
