In industrial environments, where dust and moisture are common, absolute tightness of the device's enclosure is crucial. The International Protection (IP) standard is a universal measure of this resistance, guaranteeing reliability in the harshest conditions. The IP65 standard means that the device enclosure provides complete protection against dust ingress (number '6'). It is also resistant to water jets from any direction (number '5'). This makes it an ideal solution for applications in harsh environments where equipment is constantly exposed to external factors, and operators can safely clean with water jets. Note that this standard protects against water jets, but not against immersion in water.
